What is Industry Day at the Range? Industry Day at the Range™ is held annually the day before the opening of SHOT Show®. Industry Day provides invited members of the press and retail, wholesale and law enforcement purchasing agents the opportunity for hands on testing of firearms, ammunition and related accessories being introduced to the consumer market during SHOT Show. Exhibiting opportunities are open to all members in the outdoor, hunting and shooting industry; manufacturers, conservation groups, and shooting organizations are welcome as space permits. With over 1,600 media and buyers in attendance in 2017, Industry Day is the largest, most influential one-day event in the hunting and shooting industry. The 2018 event will take place from 8:30AM-4:30PM on Monday, January 22 at the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club in Boulder City, NV.
Industry Day allows for a wide spectrum of exhibitors including firearms, ammunition, trucks, ATV’s, knives, archery, and more. This will be the eleventh year that the media have gathered the day before SHOT Show to test and learn about new products for stories for the upcoming year. As with the media, providing buyers with hands on experience while attending SHOT Show gives them an opportunity to sell new products through firsthand experience. Attending manufactures get a jump on their competition with early media exposure, highlighting their products for print, broadcast and internet coverage.
What are the show hours? The event will take place from 8:30AM-4:30PM on Monday, January 15, the day before the opening day of SHOT Show. The day is split into two sessions; the first will open to up to 1,200 invited and registered media at 8:30AM who are welcome to stay the entire day (4:30PM). The afternoon session will open at 12:00PM to up to 700 invited and registered buyers, distributors, wholesalers/retailers, and LE/military buyers.
When will exhibitor registration open? Exhibitor registration will open to existing exhibitors on March 15 and to new exhibitors on May 2. To receive information on Industry Day 2018 complete the Exhibitor Registration Information Form.
How do I invite Media/Buyers? The attendee invitations are compiled by the exhibitors of Industry Day beginning in July. Industry Day is responsible for the invitation and registration process, but the exhibitors choose who to invite. Invite lists are due by August 12. Industry Day at the Range staff will do their best to accommodate invite lists for any exhibitor who registers after this date, but will be based off capacity limits.
What does my exhibiting fee include? The following is included with each selected space:
- Exclusive Bay: includes 30×10 covered exhibiting space, 5 tables, 8 chairs, and up to 5 shooting positions with 2 bench rests. *Reserved for Supporting Sponsors only
- Single Shooting Lane: includes 10×10 covered exhibiting space, 2 tables, 4 chairs and 2 shooting positions with 1 bench rest.
- Additional Shooting Lane: includes additional 10×10 covered exhibiting space, 2 tables, 4 chairs and 2 shooting positions with 1 bench rest.
- 10×20 Shooting Area: includes 10×20 covered exhibiting space, 4 tables, 6 chairs and 4 shooting positions with 2 bench rests.
- ATV/Truck Demo Area: includes 10×10 tent, 2 tables, 4 chairs, space for up to three (3) vehicles and demo track for testing. *Show trailer space is additional
- Show Trailer: Pricing based off of square footage required. Space provided near your exhibiting area or positioned within the range. *Drivers may not sleep on premise.
- Non-Shooting exhibit: includes 10×10 covered exhibiting space, 1 table and 2 chairs
All exhibits include company name listed on the Industry Day website and in the program guide along with a detailed listing in program guide.
All shooting exhibits include targets, sponsored by Action Target. Shotgun exhibits includes throwers and clay targets. Rifle/handgun exhibits include shooting rests and bags.

Where can I eat at the range? Exhibitors will have the ability to buy breakfast and lunch from food trucks placed throughout the range. Your company has the ability to order lunch tickets for staff using the Order Form. Cash will also be accepted. Exhibitors with a sponsorship that includes lunch will be provided lunch tickets. Any pre-purchased lunch tickets or sponsors that receive lunch may pick-up their lunch tickets at the exhibitor information area at the range on Sunday during set-up.
How do I register my staff? Your SHOT Show badge also serves as your Industry Day badge. You must register for SHOT Show through the normal registration process at www.SHOTShow.org, once registration opens. Additional instructions on this process may be found in the exhibitor manual .
How do I ship/return my items? All shipments are made through Derse Exhibits. Details on shipment dates, costs, and shipping product can be found in the exhibitor manual. Anything shipped through Derse will be available on Sunday at the range. Items will not be delivered to your exhibiting area until a member of your staff signs the shipment out. If there is anything you do not wish to leave out Sunday night you may secure it in the Derse trucks and sign them back out Monday morning. You are responsible for collecting ALL items from the range. Anything that is left at the range will be properly disposed of at the end of the event and your company will be charged a clean-up fee.
When can I setup? Exhibitors are required to setup on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Supporting Sponsors can begin setting up after 10 AM. Setup begins at 11 AM for all other exhibitors. Setup must be completed by 4:30 PM on Sunday. Exhibitors can arrive at the range for final setup at 7 AM on Monday. If an exhibitor is not fully set-up by 7:30 AM on Monday, the day of the event, they forfeit their space and ability to exhibit.
Where can I hang banners/signs? Exhibitors can hang banners, flags, signs, etc., in their exhibit area only. Sponsors can hang banners in other areas of the range. Quantities of banners are outlined in the sponsorship agreement. All banners, signs, etc.., must have wind slits in them.
Is there security at the range? Starting Sunday there is 24/7 security at the range.
Am I responsible for my own ammunition? Yes, Federal Premium Ammunition and Winchester Ammunition offer the opportunity to purchase product at a special price direct from them. Please see the exhibitor manual for additional information.
Who should I go to if I have questions? We have put together an exhibitor manual which answers many additional questions. We will also be assigning you an Industry Day host. This individual will assist you prior to the event; during set-up and throughout the event. Your host will be in contact with you in mid October to provide you with their contact information. They will be in touch with you, or someone you designate, to ensure you have shipped product to arrive by the due date and ensure that all your other needs are met. These same individuals will also assist you during set-up; ensure your shipments are delivered to your shooting area and in general be available for any special needs you may have.
